Patient Participation Group

Who? - The Patient Participation Group (PPG) is a group of volunteers that vary in terms of age and experience. Our aim is to make sure that we, the patients of Westbury Group Practice, get the most from the service.

What? - The Westbury PPG was formed in 1998. We consist of a team of six to ten sub-group members and a membership of around twenty-five people. We meet regularly at the White Horse Health Centre to discuss the practice and the services it offers.

Why? - Westbury Group Practice has a vast array of services available and is growing fast. It's innovation in the area of mental healthcare has been a benchmark to other Surgeries. There is a lot to be proud of, but there is still much to do. We want to help you to understand the services that you can access and we want you give your input into the running of the practice. We are fully supported by everyone at the Practice and meet with them to make sure that we all understand the direction, issues and concerns facing the practice.

When? – The full group meets four times a year at the White Horse Health Centre. All meetings start at 18:30 unless stated otherwise. They are often attended by one GP, the Managing Partner and the Deputy Practice Manager. Meetings are open and informal with all members being encouraged to participate.

How? - Should you wish to find out more about the PPG please ask a member of the reception team for a PPG Information Booklet. Membership of the PPG is open to all patients registered at Westbury Group Practice, we always welcome new members and look forward to new ideas!
