Airmid – the new Online Services

Online services provide patients with access to their medical records, repeat medication ordering, appointment booking and a direct method of contacting us, all within one service. Using the service will help you to manage your own health and access healthcare features whenever you need to.

Want to be setup? To sign up for online services you’ll need to visit us. You can visit any of our surgeries and ask to be registered for the service. You’ll need to provide some ID. If you have already signed up for SystmOnline services, there is no need to re-register. There’s an airmid app available for iOS and Android devices, click the buttons to visit the app stores. If you want some help or more information about airmid, click on the airmid logo to the right to visit their website. We are happy to give one-to-one training with patients who are keen to get online. Please note that SystmOne services are not available abroad.

The messaging feature of Airmid may only used to message individual departments about general enquiries. Patients may not use this messaging service to book appointments or request medication.

Things To Consider

Before you apply for online access to your record, there are some other things to consider:

History – There may be something in your record that you might find upsetting.

Abnormal Results & Bad News – If your GP has given you access to test results or letters, you may see something that you find upsetting to you. This may occur before you have spoken to your doctor or while the surgery is closed and you cannot contact them.

Sharing Your Information – It’s up to you whether or not you share your information with others, but also your responsibility to keep the information you access safe and secure.

Coercion – If you think you may be pressured into revealing details from your patient record to someone else against your will, it is best that you do not register for access at this time.

Misunderstood information – Your medical records are designed to be used by clinical professionals to ensure that you receive the best possible care. Some of the information within your medical record may be highly technical, that is not easily understood.

Errors – If you spot something in the record that is not about you or notice any other errors, please log out of the system immediately and contact us as soon as possible.

The practice has the right to remove online access to services for anyone that doesn’t use them responsibly. We may not be able to offer online access if it could cause harm to physical or mental health or where there is reference to third parties.

Access to services is provided by our clinical software supplier TPP SystmOne. We cannot accept responsibility or liability for direct or indirect loss resulting from the use of or inability to use the service, howsoever caused. Nor can we offer guarantee that any of our online services will be available all the time. The practice is not liable for the unlikely outage of Airmid.

Airmid uses a high degree of security to protect confidential information whilst you use the service. However, due to the nature of the internet and the fact that the service is run by TPP and not us, we cannot offer any warranty that the service is 100% secure. Patients are responsible for keeping login details and devices that access Airmid secure. The practice is not liable for the security of information that is accessed by patients via the service. We recommend that you use a comprehensive security package on your device that includes protection against identity theft.
